CHLORAL, the first private Algerian mining group at PDAC 2019 Convention

CHLORAL, Algeria’s biggest private mining group, will participate in the highly influential PDAC Convention, taking place in Toronto from March 3 to 6, 2019. This is an unprecedented event for the Canadian show, which will welcome an Algerian exhibitor for the first time since its inception.

The exploitation of the Biskra site, one of the largest open‑pit salt deposits in Africa, allows CHLORAL to extract a resource used for various applications, such as de-icing salt, industrial and chemical salt, food salt. Thanks to an annual production of 2 million tonnes, or 6000 tonnes per day, and the steady growth of its workforce (400 employees), CHLORAL has positioned itself as a major player in the Algerian mining landscape.
